It’s only been a month but I fancied a change! You’ll notice a new look to the site and with it some slight changes to how things are done at Views from the Sofa!
First of all the things that aren’t changing – I will still review all the movies I watch and hope to beat my current target of 103! I’m currently on 70 so I’m well behind but there is plenty of time.
I will also continue to rant, rave and generally discuss my views on Movies and TV. This will include features new and old – like a return of 3 of the Best Vs. 3 of the Worst and more of the Career Peak series.
I am also bringing back TV series reviews. It starts this week with Heroes Season 1!
The site will also run on more of a strict schedule. At least one post a day! 5 Movie Reviews, a general blog view and a TV Review – every week! We’ll see how that goes!
I’m starting from fresh but you can still check out the Review List here and please tell me what films I’m missing, what films I have got wrong or what you agree with! Read and comment on any (or every) film featured here.
Overall, a fresh new look and re-brand for the site (check out the new logo!) Hopefully people will stick with us and I can attract more readers as well!

Welcome back and like the new logo. I do see a slight color difference around the lettering (it’s not completely white), so it might be good to look into that and make it as clean as possible (could be because of compression maybe?)
Yeah, it ain’t perfect. I didn’t have the software to do the best possible job. I’ll give it a look and see if I can improve it further. Thanks for the feedback.
What kind of software are you using? If you need some help just let me know and I’ll see what I can do…
Just quickly cleaned it up a bit for you, which you can find here. Up to you to decide if you’d like to use it:

Thank you so much. That was very kind. I will use it. I can see the difference. What software did you use? I’m a bit of a novice at the picture and image side of things.
keep up the great work Ben! love the new design and Im looking forward to reading ur new and improved stuff!
Thanks Rob – hopefully that will include more of your great blogathons too!
Ur always welcome. Just posted a new one today
I saw, will be checking it out further!
Excellent!
I used pixlr.com which basically is a free online photoshop editing suite (pixlr editor) and loaded up your image. Cleaned it up mostly by just selecting the parts with artefacts. After chose the smart selection tool and painted some parts with the same color, for example the sofa.
I’ll have a look. Thanks again.
I’m thrilled you’re back.
Well thank you very much. Appreciate that.
I always enjoy reading your stuff.
